We had our first Artifact Prom on the evening of September 17th and it was a blast!
Prom invites went out about six weeks beforehand with all the deets…and a little twist when it came to prom attire for the evening!
With an outfit budget well under what you’d typically spend for formal wear, our members hit the sale racks and went all out with their outfit selections, which made the night extra memorable! From formal gowns to sparkly pant suits, to light-up shoes and tuxedo t-shirts, everyone was dressed to the nines for this event.
Barbells and wall balls were put aside for the evening to make way for a red carpet. Gym shoes were traded in for high heels and loafers. Rowers were blocked by a buffet-style dining experience, and our typical gym playlist was switched up for all of the best prom hits from the past 40 years.
The gym lights were dimmed and spotlights in our signature colors of green and purple were added to give the box an extra “night out” feel. To give the box an extra prom vibe, the look was completed with twinkle lights to adorn the rig.
After dinner and drinks, the Artifact Grand March began!
With the music booming and each member in the spotlight, everyone got to strut down the red carpet in style!
Not only did we crown a King & Queen for the evening, members were awarded Prom Titles, all in good fun of course! Some of our favorites were “Best Gym Outfit”, “Nicest Smile”, and “Best Shoes”.
Once our Prom King & Queen had been crowned, the crowd took to the dance floor to cut a rug.
From the Cupid Shuffle to Cotton Eyed Joe to the Macarena and several dozen other favorites, the dance floor was hopping all night!
No party is complete without photos! Our members not only captured candids between dancing, but spent a lot of time at our very own photo booth!
We absolutely LOVE all of the shots everyone got during prom!
From dancing on the gym floor to multiple photo ops to fire pit hangs in the parking lot under the stars, the night was truly a success!
One of the great things about CrossFit Artifact is that you don’t have to work out to hang out. We feel like the Artifact Prom was the perfect example of this.
Not only was the prom a great way to unwind and have a great time, it allowed our athletes that attend different class times to mingle and get to know one another a little better!
What a night!
It’s hard to imagine anything topping Artifact Prom 2022, but every event just gets better and better!
We can’t wait for the next Artifact Prom!
